TCA Sharad Raghavan is currently Economics and Business Editor at The Hindu, leading its economic, financial, and business coverage. Before this role, he was the Economy Editor at ThePrint. He spent the COVID-19 pandemic period as Special Advisor directly reporting to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her personal office. He provided real-time advice and counsel to the Minister on the economy and financial sectors in response to immediately pressing developments.
Mr. Raghavan’s experience of 15 years as a business journalist covers almost every aspect of what goes into a publication, from copy-editing and page-making at the Financial Chronicle and Open Magazine, writing Editorials for the Financial Express and The Hindu, to data journalism at Mint, beat reporting, as well as writing impactful news analyses.
He is also a versatile video journalist, with his various series on the economy at The Print gaining traction with audiences.
Mr. Raghavan is the author of two books: GST Unpacked: Beyond the Jargon and From Cowrie to Crypto: Blockchain and the Future of Money. He has also authored a research paper on Artificial Intelligence in the Post-COVID World.
